Sepia EP Review
Dukester Ezine (UK)
The band's second demo in a short while, they return with the slow burning
hardcore of 'Sepia,' a melancholic crunch of a slow tune that brings the
genre to a more rock-orientated sound, very soft in places for whole passages
with decipherable lyrics but no less gritty in its delivery. 'Two Thousand
Miles' keeps changing time all the way through while again combining metalcore
with rock, yet more boundaries being blurred for a whole much better noise.
'The Blood Has Dried' begins much more like a threatening hardcore song
and does just that, full speed ahead aggro and prolonged screams before
returning to the band's more passive style, bringing the quiet-loud dynamic
and metal & rock attributes to the scene you may associate this band
with. A fine job is made of it, too. But do catch the band live; you'll
be flattened.
